Representatives of civil society organizations from the Republic of Moldova are welcome to participate in a new capacity development program in the field of public procurement monitoring and the use of public money. The program is part of the project "Cutting edge improvements in the public procurement system in the Republic of Moldova through inclusiveness, creativity and law-abiding practices", funded by EU through the Civil Society Strengthening Program to monitor budget support operations. The project is implemented by the Institute for Development and Social Initiatives (IDIS) "Viitorul".
Topics discussed in the workshop are:
- the civil society experience in the Republic of Moldova regarding the monitoring of acquisitions;
- how open are central and local public authorities to those monitoring purchases;
- Civil society interaction with public authorities regarding access to data on purchases;
- the impact of procurement monitoring activities on increasing transparency and procurement efficiency;
- analysis of case studies - monitoring of acquisitions by civil society in the Republic of Moldova: identified irregularities and frauds;
