
On 31 October – 01 November, Institute for Development and Social Initiatives (IDIS) “Viitorul” will host the workshop “Promoting Minorities Rights at Workplaces and Communities in Moldova” . The meeting takes place in the frame of the project V4 and EaP Platform Promoting Minority Rights at Workplaces and in Communities", which is being implemented with the financial support from International Visegrad Fund and The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Netherlands. The main goal of the event is to discuss Moldavian labor code and employees’ conditions at workplaces.
Representatives of ethnic minorities, trade unions and local stakeholders who protect the human rights of workers and strengthen the cooperation between the employers and employees will attend the meeting. The national workshop is a 2-days event aims to serve as a platform for dialogue among different stakeholders in Moldova to come up with solutions and recommendations to existing challenges. The event has the goal to acknowledge the local audience with the experience of promoting participation of national minorities at workplace and community in Visegrad countries in order to transfer good practices and create prospects for future cooperation.
After the discussions participants will present the ideas how to raise the awareness on labor rights and how to fight workplace discrimination in country-specific context.
The expert who will gather the good practices from EU countries and prepare the recommendations for the local NGOs will conduct the whole session.
