Representatives of civil society organizations from the Republic of Moldova are welcome to participate in a new capacity development program in the field of public procurement monitoring and the use of public money. The program is part of the project "Cutting edge improvements in the public procurement system in the Republic of Moldova through inclusiveness, creativity and law-abiding practices", funded by EU through the Civil Society Strengthening Program to monitor budget support operations. The project is implemented by the Institute for Development and Social Initiatives (IDIS) "Viitorul".

Topics discussed in the workshop are:

- civil society participation in procurement working groups;

- the role of monitors and the selection of procurement for monitoring;

- how LPAs ensure transparency in procurement - best practices.

- the ranking of the most transparent LPAs for public procurement

- information published on the contracting authority's web pages - examples of central authorities and local authorities;

- Positive practices for monitoring public procurement at international level

- the importance of external monitoring in the public policy process and the role of civil society
