On June 15, 2017, Institute for Development and Social Initiatives (IDIS), in co-operation with Agency for Regional Development (North) and International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance will host a regional presentation and roundtable discussion of its first State of Local Democracy (SoLD) in Moldova.  The event will take place during 10.00 - 12.15 in the Hall of the State University of Balti, Sala Polivalentă. Preliminary findings will be presented and discussed, providing participants with an opportunity to address questinos and clarify issues related to the method, findings and policy conclusions. The final report of the assessment is expected by end of June 2017. The SoLD is a citizen-centered assessmentt process  and consequently, discussing and debating its findings and policy recomendations, as well of ensuring a broad dissemination of its results is essential to its concept and overall aims.
