The Best Practices Programme for Local Authorities in Moldova was launched in 2005 by the Council of Europe in cooperation with the Government, associations of mayors, the USAID project "Local Government Reform" and implemented by IDIS "Viitorul" in 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2013.
The Programme aims to identify, appreciate, promote and disseminate the best practices among local authorities from Moldova, in order to improve the efficiency of local governance.
The edition 2011 - 2012 of the Best Practice Programme has been a success among participants. Thus, 50 local practices from 39 municipalities were submitted, of which 23 were awarded with special prizes and awards within the National Awards Ceremony. Also, the award for the authority who implemented and presented within the Programme the biggest number of practices during 2011 – 2012 was established.
During 2005 - 2013, over 300 communities from Moldova have shared best practices that have been presented in three anthologies and 44 successful practices have become the subject of four documentary films distributed among representatives of public authorities across the country.

The Best Practice Programme for Local Authorities in Moldova was launched in 2005 by the Council of Europe in cooperation with the Government, associations of mayors, the USAID project "Local Government Reform" and implemented by IDIS "Viitorul", in 2007, 2008, 2010. Due to the progress registered by the project in previous editions, as well as the interest of local authorities to share their experiences, the project team decided to continue the Best Practices Programme in 2012. In this way, the Programme became, in time, a success story.

Aim: Representing one of the most efficient opportunities to promote successful activities, the Programme aims to identify, appreciate, promote and disseminate the best practices among local authorities from Moldova, in order to improve the efficiency of local governance. A good local practice means success stories, partnerships and innovation and the Best Practice Programme comes in this sense, to ensure the sustainability of these initiatives by sharing knowledge, skills and experiences.

The Best Practice Programme for Local Authorities in Moldova was launched in 2005 by the Council of Europe in cooperation with the Government, associations of mayors, the USAID project "Local Government Reform" and implemented by IDIS "Viitorul", in 2007, 2008, 2010. Due to the progress registered by the project in previous editions, as well as the interest of local authorities to share their experiences, the project team decided to continue the Best Practices Programme in 2012. In this way, the Programme became, in time, a success story.

Building Effective Private -“ Public Dialogue through a National Business Agenda
Scope of the project: The overall goal of this particularly interesting and demanding project for the IDIS VIitorul is to facilitate and lead the process towards the emergence of a National Business Agenda in Moldova. Widely known for its synergizing effects, the process is aimed to strengthen the institutional capacity of business associations national-wide, and advance their role in democratic policy making via coalition building, enhanced public communication and dialogue, as well as to enhance the public-private dialogue by increasing the voice of the business community leaders. A National Business Agenda process will then be used to help them translate skills into practice. CIPE expects this project to build a broad coalition among the business community that will define and prioritize key policy issues for reform under the NBA process and led by a Task Force of business leaders and independent policy analysts. The NBA document will be presented to the government of Moldova under high profile and significant media attention. While the project aims to generate concrete reforms that will foster the development of the private business, the institutionalization of the private-public dialogue and the creation of the coalition of business associations able to promote the NBA will constitute very significant results. Concomitantly, a selected cluster of Moldovan Business Associations will learn about an effective advocacy process and then institutionalize their learning by building a coalition and developing a wide-ranging advocacy campaign. It will also help the business associations create a healthy vision of their role in a democratic society. CIPE will support the Institute for Development and Social Policy (IDSI) - Viitorul" to facilitate coalition building among business associations to participate in an effective NBA process. IDSI and CIPE will mobilize a vast community of business associations and business partners from the region as well as international level to share their best practices, knowledge and share their lessons learned. We expect by this project to build a broad coalition among the business community that will define and prioritize key policy issues for reform under the NBA process and led by a Task Force of business leaders and independent policy analysts. The NBA document will be presented to the government of Moldova under high profile and significant media attention. While the project aims to generate concrete reforms that will foster the development of the private business, the institutionalization of the private-public dialogue and the creation of the coalition of business associations able to promote the NBA will constitute very significant results.
