Institute for Development and Social Initiatives (IDIS) "Viitorul" presents the Anthology of best practices of local authorities in Moldova, 2021 edition. The Anthology is produced within the Best Practices Programme for Local Authorities 2019 – 2020 and aims to describe the success stories of local authorities from Moldova.

The achievements of the local communities in the Republic of Moldova inspire us and make us hope for a more European, more prosperous and more beautiful country. We very much hope that the pages to be read will be a pleasant and useful read for the reader and at the same time an encouragement to take on the valuable ideas and practices in this book, to grow and develop local government and to implement projects. which will add value to the socio-economic development process of the communities, thus improving the lives of the citizens of our country", says Liubomir Chiriac, executive director at IDIS" Viitorul ".
The publication was made possible by the efforts of IDIS "Viitorul" experts, as well as local public administration representatives, who constantly showed interest and creative ability.
The anthology of good practices includes the following sections: 1. Transparent governance for an efficient public administration 2. Local development through community involvement; 3. Energy efficiency - a priority for any locality; 4. Authentic traditions at home.
For the current edition of the Best Practices Programme, 64 of the most innovative best practices have been submitted, implemented by 40 local public authorities in Moldova during 2019-2020.

The Best Practices Programme of Local Authorities in Moldova is implemented by the Institute for Development and Social Initiatives (IDIS) "Viitorul", with the financial support of the Council of Europe. The Programme aims at identifying, promoting and disseminating good practices among local public authorities in the Republic of Moldova, thus contributing to the efficiency of local governance.
