Entrepreneurs on both banks of the Nistru River will receive financial support from IDIS "Viitorul" to consolidate local economic activities.

IDIS "Viitorul" will support entrepreneurs on both banks of the Nistru River in growing and strengthening local businesses. The beneficiaries participated in training on business planning and sustainable enterprise development organized by IDIS experts. Following guidance and project evaluation, 13 entrepreneurs were selected to receive funding for the activities in their plans. This is part of the project "Strengthening the resilience of civil society in the Republic of Moldova" implemented by IDIS "Viitorul".

"We set out to support entrepreneurial initiatives that contribute to local economic development and to strengthening cooperation between entrepreneurs on both banks of the Nistru River. We are glad that during the trainings, viable business plans were developed, which will now be transformed into concrete economic activities, with an impact on their communities," said Liubomir Chiriac, executive director of IDIS "Viitorul".

"Participating in this program gave us the knowledge we need to develop in a sustainable way. The training helped us better understand how to develop a realistic and efficient business plan. The help we received will allow us to expand our activity and create new opportunities at the local level," said Vitalie Chirilov, one of the beneficiary entrepreneurs.

"This project gave us the chance to transform a business idea into a concrete development plan. The support of experts and the exchange of experience with other entrepreneurs were very valuable. For us, this support represents an important step for consolidating the business, and for developing the community we are part of," said Victoria Mușinschi, an entrepreneur participating in the program.

"Collaboration between entrepreneurs from both banks of the Nistru River is extremely important for local economic development. The program helped us develop our entrepreneurial skills and identify a practical solution for our business. We are confident that the activity we will implement with the help of this support will have a positive and long-term impact," said Mihai Gazea, another entrepreneur selected to provide financial support.

The trainings were conducted in June, September, and November 2025 and in March 2026. The topics addressed concerned the development prospects of trade between the two banks of the Dniester River and the intensification of exports to the EU; the legal framework and European regulations in international trade in goods and services; steps regarding the development of a business plan for SMEs and individual entrepreneurs; and the business plan as a tool for capitalizing on economic development opportunities.
